Sue grew up close to Lake Michigan in a Chicago suburb, attended college in Texas and has remained a Texan for 50+ years. 

“My family traveled all over the US during summer vacations & Christmas holidays, so travel has always been a part of my life.”

She had a 30 year career in economic development & event planning working with chambers of commerce in Austin, Temple & Richardson. 

Retired in 2016, she loves spending time with her family (10 grandchildren!) & doing more international travel.  

Sue’s grandparents were from a small town on the north coast of Sicily where their ancestors have been for 250 years.

“My passion for Italy & Sicily is what attracted me to WEW..I love sharing what I’ve learned in planning & organizing 8 Italy trips I’ve done in the past 10 years.”

Sue will be planning trips to include areas that are a bit “off the beaten path” for those who may want to explore some lesser known, but equally beautiful & historic places. She also enjoys highlighting the unique differences in the food (& wine!) culture of “Italia e Sicilia”.
