Growing up in Burleson, Texas, Jami had a hunger for exploration and experiencing places most others had never been. She specifically loved the Middle East from her early childhood.

In high school Jami spent a month in Turkey (Turkiye), a month in India and a month in Uganda. In college she traveled to Germany and Mexico, lived a semester in Aceh, Indonesia, and led teams of high school students for a month to Ecuador and two months to Peru.

After college Jami moved to Beirut, Lebanon, for a few years and during that time traveled to Iraq, Jordan, the UAE, Yemen, Cyprus, Syria, Morocco, Egypt and Ethiopia.

Since marrying her wonderful husband, Corban, they and their four kids have traveled internationally many times and she has been able to enjoy visiting many more countries.

Jami has a passion for people and a hunger for having new adventures and exploring new places.

She started “Women Exploring the World” in 2021 with a heart for all women to be welcomed to travel together in a fun and safe environment. She dreams of building a loving community of women who will care for each other well and make unforgettable memories experiencing the beauty of the world together.
