New Zealand

March 31 - April 8, 2023

Did you know that before the Maori, the first human settlers of New Zealand, arrived the country had no mammals, only birds? Neither did we! But we learned so much about the origins of New Zealand and its native people while experiencing the pristine landscape! Our seven-day trip was a whirlwind of amazing food, stunning scenery, and no less than a dozen cups of really delicious coffee.

We spent two days in Auckland, the City of Sails. We walked its beaches, visited a museum, and took in the history of the WWII tunnels in beautiful Devonport. We explored the Hamilton Gardens and toured the natural wonder of Putaruru, Blue Springs. Rotorua highlighted the thermal activity and Maori culture of New Zealand!

Our lakefront condo in Queenstown was a dream, and we made the most of our two days there with a trip to historic Arrowtown and a day trip to the Milford Sound. Writer Rudyard Kipling deemed it "The 8th Wonder of the World", and we tend to agree with him!

We ended our trip with one last day in Auckland with waterfront walks, ice cream, souvenir shopping, and a few hours of relaxing in a Turkish cafe.

This was a beautiful trip with an amazing group of women! We can't wait to return to New Zealand, we'd love for you to join us!
